EXPEDITION itinerary

DAY 0  Check-In Day • Mazama, WA

Meet in Mazama, WA, by 5PM to get settled into our accommodations. We will stay at the unique Rolling Huts Lodge. Each hut comes equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, fireplace, and WiFi. Dinner and drinks will follow.

DAY 1  Intro Day • Climbing Skills and Movement

Our day begins with hot coffee and a full breakfast together. Mid-morning, we will travel together to the iconic Goat Wall crag, where we will begin to develop a base understanding of climbing systems, gear, and terminology. In the afternoon, we will practice and get comfortable with basic climbing movements and techniques for fighting gravity. This will be a very full day of learning and active movement.

DAY 2  Climbing • Mazama, WA

Our day begins earlier. Today will include a 1 hr approach to 600 feet of vertical rock in the North Cascades wilderness. This day will include more instruction and practice of rope systems and multi-pitch climbing techniques. After our descent, we will debrief, eat, drink, and rest at the Rolling Huts Lodge.

DAY 3  Climbing • Washington Pass

An alpine start gets us out the door at sunrise and on the road toward the iconic Washington Pass climbing zone. After a 2-hour approach, we will gear up and embark on a 1,000 ft. route amongst the dramatic spires of North Cascades rock. This will be a long day, requiring mental and physical durability. Be prepared to earn this experience, and reap the reward of a full day in the mountains. We will descend in the afternoon, and celebrate back at the lodge with food and drink!
