Malinche:,14,640 ft. & Izta, 17,160 ft.
The expedition begins with a guided visit to the pyramids of Teotihuacan, followed by a second cultural stop at the Great Pyramid of Cholula as we move into the mountains.
From there, we climb La Malinche and Iztaccíhuatl, two classic high-altitude volcanoes that provide a clear progression for altitude adaptation.
The journey ends with intentional recovery at a quiet mountain retreat, allowing time to rest, integrate, and return home grounded, reset, and invigorated.

"This Climb Couldn't Have come at a better time."
Balancing my life as a medical director, father, less-available husband and slowly weakening outdoor enthusiast was overwhelming to say the least. I was flailing, but I was working harder than ever. This expedition helped me reconnect with my values, prioritize and operationalize my goals and maintain focus only on what’s important - it couldn't have come at a better time.

A psychologist, leadership coach, and international mountain guide with over 26 years of expedition experience, Matt has seen firsthand how powerful outdoor challenge can be—and how easily its impact can fade without integration. His work is centered on closing that gap.
Drawing on real-world leadership, systems thinking, and a deep understanding of human behavior, Matt designs expeditions and coaching experiences that combine challenge with reflection, helping individuals and teams move forward with greater steadiness, purpose, and alignment.
This six-day expedition is not a vacation. It’s a focused reset designed for those who need time away from noise, a clear physical objective, and space to reconnect with themselves. The experience combines professional mountain leadership with intentional personal work, using challenge, altitude, and shared effort as the container. It’s demanding, purposeful, and designed to leave you steady, clear, and re-engaged with what matters.
No. This expedition is designed as a high-altitude primer. Strong fitness, coachability, and willingness to prepare matter more than technical climbing experience.
